What is 'Summer Solstice with Underground Cellar'?
Starting June 21st and continuing through June 26th, we’re bringing you six days of amazing wine collections and offers to make 2022 a summer to remember! We'll have offers featuring crisp white wines, elegant rosés, BBQ-worthy reds, and so much more.
In addition to getting access to great wines, you also have the opportunity to earn Sand Dollars that magically turn into real dollars. We'll also be sharing details about how you could win a private dining experience for up to 4 people at Sullivan Estate on June 26th!
What Are Sand Dollars?
You might be thinking of those cute seashells when you hear this, but we are focusing on the 'dollar' aspect of the name. For every Sand Dollar you earn, we'll put a real dollar into your Underground Cellar account. So if you earn 50 Sand Dollars, that's $50 you'll be able to use to purchase more wine through Underground Cellar.
How do I earn Sand Dollars?
Earning Sand Dollars is as easy as clicking the 'purchase' button on your favorite offers. You'll earn 35 Sand Dollars (and $35 in account credit!) for every 3 bottles you purchase, so 35 for 3 bottles, 70 for 6, 140 for 12... there's no limit on how much you could earn. In order to give out this many credits, we are limiting Sand Dollars to orders with a buy-in of $20 or more
You'll also earn 50 Sand Dollars for every friend you refer that makes a purchase before June 26th. This is in addition to the traditional referral bonus of $50 that both you and your friend get for joining. What does the private dining experience at Sullivan entail?
We're glad you asked! On the last day of Summer Solstice with Underground cellar (June 26th), we'll be announcing a way for you to win a private dining experience at the Sullivan Rutherford Estate for up to 4 people. Sit amongst the vines and indulge in a multicourse meal, prepared by Chef Daniel, formerly of Michelin-starred The French Laundry and La Toque. To complete this magical meal, dishes will be paired with wines from Sullivan’s private cellar.
When do my Sand Dollars turn into real dollars?
We know you're excited to turn those seashells into $$$ that can be used on our site, so we're making the magic happen every morning. Any Sand Dollars you earn before midnight pacific time, are turned into account credits the next day by 10 am (our magic Sand Dollar machine needs some coffee before it can work properly). These credits will be automatically applied to the next order you place and will expire at the end of the month.
How do I earn free air shipping, and when am I able to ship my wines for free?
During the Summer Solstice campaign (June 21st - 26th) if you purchase 12 or more bottles you'll be eligible to earn free air shipping!
We'll share a promo code with you via email on the 27th if you've earned free air shipping, the promo code will be for $50 off shipping which covers the cost of air shipping of 12 bottles for all states we offer air shipping to with the exception of Hawaii and Alaska. We currently do not offer air shipping to CA, so the $50 code can be used towards free ground shipping.
